Micromax Canvas 4 A210

Micromax has released its new leading device — the Fabric 4 A210. The company lastly raised Micromax Canvas 4 A210the veil of secrecy around its heavily-hyped device at a meeting in Delhi these days. Micromax had already made device available for pre-order on its site with a arranging amount of Rs 5000 from Twenty eighth of July and has allegedly obtained 11,500 pre-bookings. With a nasty front side and back, the body is structurally strengthened by an aluminum remove running along the sides, which also imparts it better appearance than other Micromax Mobile Phones.

The Jelly Bean based device is operated by a quad-core MediaTek CPU and 1 GB of RAM. Inner storage space of 16 GB is further accented with up to 32 GB more via microSD card. The top side of the cellphone is enriched by a 5″ HD IPS display, so the watching perspectives and colors should be good. In addition to a 13 mp back photographic camera, there is a 5 mp camera on top of the display. This is a dual-SIM smart phone with 3G and Wi-Fi. There is also a “Blow to Unlock” function using which, the customer can discover the cellphone by ruining air onto it. In the same way, it also facilitates actions. Of course, we think these are gimicky features at best. Here are the handset’s specifications:

Android operating system 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean), Search engines Play Store.

Dual-SIM, Double stand by, GSM (2G): 900/1800/1900/850 MHz, UMTS (3G): 2100 MHz.
Applications and Games: Connect Up, kingsoft Office Package, M! Live, M! Area +, M! Security, Spuul, Increase, Foneclay, Music Hub, Safari Small, GMS, Game Hub, NFS, Fruits Demon, Black man.

5″ IPS touchscreen display screen with pixel size of 720×1280.

1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 CPU, PowerVR SGX 544MP.

1 GB RAM.

16 GB internal storage space (10 GB customer accessible), Up to 32 GB microSD reinforced.

13 mega-pixel back photographic camera with auto-focus and LED display, 4-direction surroundings, HDR, Complete HD documenting, 5 mega-pixel front side photographic camera.
3G, Wi-Fi, Wireless 4.0, A-GPS.

Micro-USB 3.0, 3.5 mm sound port, FM stereo, Complete HD 30 fps video play-back.
Sensors: Severity, Vicinity, Normal light.

2000 mAh Li-Ion battery power with up to 8 time talk-time and 220 time stand by time.
5.7″ (H) x 2.9″ (W) x 0.35″ (8.9 mm) (D), 158 grms.

With a check size of 5″, the Fabric 4 will contest with the recently-launched Lava Eye 504Q, Zen Ultrafone 701HD, and the more expensive Panasonic P51 with same requirements, with the latter having a 2500 mAh battery power. However, the Fabric 4 comes with 16 GB of internal storage space, which is certainly a comfort as as opposed to modest 4 GB that comes with the other two devices. The Micromax Canvas 4 A210 is costing Rs 18,000, which seems to be somewhat affordable for now, especially as it comes with the free turn cover. However, we are sure that the opponents will soon come up with same devices at prices lower than Rs 15,000.

Micromax A100

Micromax goes into the “Phablet” section with the Micromax A100. The company has decided for Micromax A100a simple and stylish design with a large 4.9? show in the top side which comes protected with a perfectly-fit show guard out of the box. Like the A90, the Micromax A100 does not have any physical control buttons towards the top side. The returning cover of the cellphone is created of soft rubberized which we liked as it provides hold and protection to the cellphone.

Overall, the cellphone is a bit heavy, but is well-built. Using it with one side does take some getting used to due to its size!

Hardware

The cellphone features a 1GHz (single core) Qualcomm Scorpion chipset ARM V7 processor with Adreno 200 GPU which pleased us. There is 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inner storage extended up to 32GB. It has double SIM support with double Stand by.

On the top side is a large 4.92? TFT capacitive LCD show with 480×854 quality which is a joy to use mainly due to its dimension. Touch reaction is excellent, best in this price segment.

On the returning side of Micromax A100 can be found a 5MP photographic camera with LED show which is capable of documenting 480p video clips and on the top side is a 0.3MP photographic camera. The cellphone is operated by a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery pack.

Camera

The Micromax A100 has a 5 mega-pixel back photographic camera with LED show, which catches reasonable quality pictures in bright-light. Low illumination conditions lead to a bit cleaned out photos, with obvious graininess. However, video clips, even though being taken at 480p, look good. The photographic camera offers a number of features such as visibility value, field ways and show ways etc. to do around with. The cellphone also has a 0.3 mega-pixel front side photographic camera which can be used to create movie calling through applications like Skype, though movie calling cannot be created over 3G.

Display, Sound and Internet

As mentioned above the show is a joy to use as it is massive! Though colors do seem a bit cleaned out but nothing too disturbing, the dimension more than makes up for that! Some may feel that the quality of the show in addition to the low ppi do not create it fun, but we were more than pleased with it. Outdoor visibility is low and you’ll have to do around with the illumination configurations to create visibility better.

The Audio quality cellphone is frustrating, especially during movie play-back. Low measure and loud audio effects it clip play-back meet. The audio quality is average at best.

The stock internet browser on the device is reasonable, again due to the large screen! It is sleek but touch to zoom ability and kinetic scrolling were lagging a bit. We would suggest installing the Google Firefox internet browser to get the best surfing around encounter from the show.

Micromax A115

Micromax seems to have taken a cue from New Samsung by continuously releasing a flow of new Micromax A115mobile phones for different areas and costs. One of the latest inclusions in their increasing profile is the Canvas 3D. Micromax is not the first company to dabble in 3D mobile phones. HTC and LG have already tried their arms at it but the high cost and the deficiency of 3D material was what murdered them. The Canvas 3D on the other hand is designed to give same features but at less than 50 percent the cost. Will the Micromax A115 handle to popularise 3D mobile phones or has Micromax affected too much for a cheaper cost tag? Let us find out.

Design and Build

The Canvas 3D looks and seems enormous and not in an excellent way. The device informs us of the Canvas 2 A110, which had poor appearance and the Micromax A115 seems same. The device is quite dense at 11mm and large too at 188g. The only beneficial comment about the style is the he finished for the returning and new Firefox company logo, which looks a lot more satisfactory in comparison to their mature devices. The control buttons drop in place along either part of the cellphone but absence a very excellent fit. The responsive feel could have been better too. Advance, we have a 5-inch TFT show with Undressed Eye 3D technological innovation. Generally, it features using the parallax hurdle means for developing an impact of details without the need for unique cups. The problem is that the quality of neither the show nor the watching perspectives are very excellent, for both 2D and 3D watching. The HTC Evo 3D such as had a 4.3-inch show with a 540 x 960 quality (256ppi) so 3D material still showed up sharp and relatively pixel-free. The A115 has a meager 480 x 800 (188ppi) quality on an even bigger show so you can think about the decrease in sharpness.

The A115 is a dual-SIM cellphone along with a micro SD cards port for expansion. The cards port does not help hot-swap however. Despite the enormous ratios of the cellphone, we only have a 2000mAh battery power, which seems too little.

Features

The Canvas 3D is operated by a MediaTek MT6577 SoC, the same chipset used in the Canvas 2 A110. The CPU operates at 1GHz and is associated with 512MB of RAM. The OS of choice is Android operating system Jelly Bean 4.1.2, which operates efficiently without any issues. You get the same mild skinning we’ve seen on all Micromax devices along with some of their own applications like M!Live, MZone+, etc. On board storage area is very less. Despite having a 4GB ROM, the real useful storage area is only 930MB.

Micromax has a unique collection app known as 3D Space which allows you accessibility images, activities, YouTube and video clips in 3D. The collection is intensely ‘inspired’ by LG’s execution on the Optimus 3D. Local 3D material looks excellent but the sweet-spot for watching it effectively without damaging your vision is very restricted so two people cannot perfectly see a 3D film together. The display also darkens quite a bit when the parallax hurdle sneakers in to make a 3D impact. In contrast to effective shutter cups, where both sight see a finish structure, here one eye only recognizes 50 percent the horizontally pixel depend which cause loss in details. The chipset can quickly handle a 3D 1080p film though and with very little drop over their words, it clip performs just excellent. You also have the choice of transforming current pictures to 3D with the media of a key. The details can be modified too. The show is incapable to generate a sharp 3D picture due to the low pixel depend, which is a shame; given this is the primary promoting feature for the Micromax A115.

The mp3 gamer gets a minimal renovation but beneath, it’s the same Jelly Bean mp3 gamer. The quality of sound is totally regular even with a couple of headphones. The back presenter is quite noisy so you will not skip any of the signals even in a noisy place. Video play-back results in a lot to be preferred. First of all, the Canvas 3D can only handle up to 720p film play-back efficiently. MP4 information do well in the inventory gamer but AVI, MKV, etc. have problems enjoying returning even in MX Player. The colors are not too vivid even in 2D technique and the watching perspectives are not great either.

Micromax A88

Micromax A88The Micromax A88 is another recent addition to the Micromax’s quickly growing profile. Called the Canvas Music, the A88 is focused at the music powerful as it comes included with JBL headsets as well as access to 100 % free down-loadable music through their MLive on the internet service. Supported up by affordable costs, let us see if it’s value the buzz.

Design and Build

Available in black or white, the Micromax A88 is not a very stunning cellphone by any means. The device looks like a miniaturised edition of the Canvas 3D, which is not saying much. The cup front is a magnetic for handy marks and is a discomfort to keep clean. The rubberised returning expands a bit onto the edges as well, providing excellent hold. The power and measure control buttons all line up and are quite comfort and ease placed. Around the returning, we have the 5MP camera with double LED display and a presenter bbq grill at the end.

Beneath the returning cover, we have two regular-sized SIM spots and a microSD card port that is not hot swappable. Due to small sized 4.5-inch screen, the A88 is very controllable in your hand and single-handed function is done with ease. It’s also pretty light at 136g but a tad on the bigger side.

The included headsets are the JBL Pace, which are value about Rs 2,000. The headsets sit on your ear but with a lot of stress thanks to the steel group. There is support for your head and the ear glasses, which make them comfortable even for extended hours. The top quality is not bad either as the 40mm motorists provide excellent ups and downs with a bit poor mids. You also get the frequent ear phones in the box but there is no evaluation when it comes to top quality.

Features

The Micromax A88 operates on Jelly Bean and is operated by a dual-core MediaTek MT6577 SoC. In addition, there’s 512MB of RAM on board, which together makes for a relatively pain-free Android operating system experience. The interface and customization are just like any other Micromax device so we will not go into much details here.

The display is of the frequent TFT variety but even with just a 480 x 854 pixel quality, pictures and written text are quite distinct and clear with very excellent watching angles; at least better than what we saw on the Canvas 3D or even the Canvas 2.

You can get songs through MLive, which is Micromax’s web store for games, video clips, etc. The available songs are mostly Hollywood and from other Native Indian styles. You can surf through the available songs and get them straight on your cellphone. There is not any DRM here so you can keep them for if you want or even discuss it.

The mp3 gamer gets a minor renovation but below, it’s the same Jelly Bean mp3 gamer. The high top quality of audio is totally regular even with a couple of headphones. The returning presenter is quite noisy so you will not skip any of the signals even in a noisy place. Video play-back results in a lot to be preferred. MP4 information play well in the stock gamer but AVI, MKV, etc. have trouble playing returning even in MX Player. On a bit more positive note, large duplication is pretty affordable compared to Micromax’s other devices in this same cost range.

Celkon Signature HD A119Q

Media Tek MTK 6589 chipsets are seen on almost every price range Android operating system Celkon Signature HD A119Qsmart cellphone available these days. Having features such as a quad-core processer and the PowerVR GPU, price range smart cellphone producers are applying this chipset on almost all their current leading models. Since most recent price range mobile phones sold in Indian are presenting the same components, the only significant variations we get to see are show size and solutions, RAM potential, storage space potential and build/aesthetic versions. We saw the same chipset in a few other devices we analyzed earlier and same is the situation with the Celkon Signature HD A119Q . So what does the A119Q have uncommon? We discover out.

Design and Build

The Celkon Signature HD A119Q system is wrapped in a completely shiny white-colored spend and is a dust magnetic. There is also a black edition, which we think is a bit more attractive. The product is designed very strongly with no creaky sides or any other such difficult places to get noticable. The top part functions the huge show with the three backlit touch control buttons – Returning, House and Selection – at the end. The top activities the ear piece, front part photographic camera and the light/proximity indicator window. The rear board activities the main photographic camera with an LED display living next to it. Towards the end is a presenter grill and the brand name produced. The sides and base of the system have a shiny huge nasty cut, giving the cellphone a bit top quality experience. The measure musician and the power/standby control buttons take their places on the right and top of the smart cellphone . Finally, the top also functions the headset port and the small USB port.

Slip out the nasty back board and you will discover the two GSM SIM cards spots and a hot-swappable small SD cards port. At the end part is a huge presenter beneath shiny metal capable. We did see a minimal but frustration defect on the production part. The energy button, which is presented on the top of the system, is placed on the outside on a small PCB with the wire operating into the structure. Since the PCB and the wire is easily seen in an out direction, it looks bad and could be vulnerable to damage, dust and moisture. Apart from this, we did not discover any problems with the develop. But we would also like to bring up that the system is a tad bulkier and is out at 177 grms. The cellphone measures 148 x 74.5 x 9.3 mm. The product appearance does look like the New samsung Universe sequence, except for the huge base level, which functions the control buttons and the shiny cut around the structure. Overall, the Celkon Signature HD A119Q does look excellent due to the nice style applied.

Features

The Celkon Signature HD A119Q is designed using the Media Tek MTK 6589 presenting a quad-core ARMv7 processer operating at 1.2GHz and a PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. The program is provided with an excellent 1GB of RAM, but the inner storage space remains at 4GB, just as most price range devices. Out of this inner 4GB, 2.65GB is available for customer information while the relax is taken up by the os, programs and app information. You can increase the storage space up to 32GB using a small SD cards.

The show is a huge 5-incher wearing a quality of 720 x 1280 p with a ppi of 294. There are no details of the show presenting an IPS board or a regular TFT board, but the show does look near to an IPS kind due to the excellent watching perspectives. The rear present shooter is a 12.6MP photographic camera reinforced with an LED display. Unfortunately, despite having a quad-core processer and 1GB of RAM, the photographic camera records video clips at only 720p quality. We did try searching deep into the photographic camera configurations for finding out if this is the limit or the standard configurations are kept to 720p itself, but in useless. The photographic camera activities other functions such as GPS labeling, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization), time slide up, rush (40 shots), face recognition, anti sparkle, color results, and a few other photo and movie results. The top part photographic camera is a 3.1MP for movie talk.

Connectivity options are Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3G, EDGE, Wireless blue tooth 4.0, Micro USB PC customer interface and A-GPS. The os set up is Google Android operating system Jelly Bean edition 4.2.1. The launcher is inventory with three built-in styles. These styles just have a minimal change in colors, symbols and such, and the setting is named as “Style” instead of “Themes”. The os has a few included programs pre-installed in the firmware. These include a few enjoyment programs, games, efficiency programs and a security app. To end up the entire functions area, the A119Q is powered by a 2100 mAh Li-ion battery, which should last you through the working day with basic to informal use. Bundled along with the system is a battery charger, in-ear headphones, a small USB information wire, a 100 % free display guard and a matte-finish all-white turn situation.

Performance and customer interface

The Android operating system Jelly Bean os set up on the A119Q seems constant. We did not see any lags, nerves, slowdowns or major bugs. Thanks to the 1GB of RAM, the os operates sleek on the components provided to it. We discovered a problem in a few places and would like to emphasize the same. First of all, the system has a noisy boot up music, which is distressing and there is no way to turn off or avoid it to lower amounts. Cheering the system could be the only help for it. Secondly, the Wi-Fi toggle in the toggle change place of the notice bar had an issue too. Usually, it should toggle the wireless network on/off when used once. In this situation, you need to tap and hold the toggle change for the place to stimulate. The other toggles worked without any problems. The second place of concern was the show. Towards the sides of the display, one can see the LED backlight lighting the sides a little too shiny. A shiny line is seen and is distressing when surfing around or watching a movie. Additionally, the property, menu and back changes are backlit with very white-colored LEDs and they don’t convert off on their own. This lighting of the changes could also be frustrating after a while. There are no configurations to convert them down or change them off after a few seconds.

To test the primary strength of the chipset, we did run our regular benchmarking assessments on it. Though the chipset is just like most price range mobile phones in the same classification, the performance does differ due to the different functions such as the program RAM, show size and kind, and modifications and bloat ware set up in the os. As per our assessments, AnTuTu obtained 13186, Quadrant obtained 3950 and Linpack provided us a structure rate of 44.5 fps. Lin pack provided ratings of 36.51 MFLOPS and 126.81 MFLOPS in the single-thread and multi-thread assessments . Performing on the ratings, we compared the A119Q to the relax of the group and discovered the performance much near to the Gionee E3, Liven Mi500, Xolo Q700 and the Micromax Fabric HD, which fall in the same classification (there may be more devices too). This performance can differ now and then as the devices are all based on the amount of 100 % free RAM, programs set up, operating programs and the normal temperature. Our assessments are performed after a manufacturer totally reset with inventory firmware and pre-installed programs.
